Have a great Summer!!

Well done everyone this year, I hope you all have enjoyed racing this year and are ready to get back to training in September. Hopefully next we can all thrive to achieve higher than before, we must understand that the coaches this year have been pushed to their limits and that lack of support has made it increasingly difficult to deal with. However as athletes we must remember that coaching will not always be there, even when the coaches try their best to do so. We as athletes must become independent and take it upon ourselves to train harder and be the best we can. That’s what makes us better athletes, we can’t be spoon fed all the time so it comes down to you, to make the most of what you get from your coaches and to go and spend time on it (nurture it).

Next season will be different and again we could see that help is limited, but that doesn’t make it GAME OVER, that gives you the opportunity to prove yourself and make a name for yourself in this boat club. Enjoy the summer and come back with the right frame of mind, which will allow you to move forward in this sport.

We all want to win Henley next year so let’s go and do it.
